OK, sorry to gunk up the threads with my stupid question. I'm getting this strange noise when cranking the wheel right (not left) while moving. The faster or more extreme the curve, the louder. The noise is like a little prop plane sound. Anybody ever get this? I'm thinking the right front wheel is misaligned. Thx in advance.

Kinda like the airplane pilots vs airplane mechanics.....don't turn right! Anyways, need much more info to help diagnose the problem......

That's a good point about the steering box. There happens to be a slow leak there that needs addressing. It might be a similar phenomenon to loose motor mounts. In other words the coupling could be off.

I agree probably wheel bearings...but the fender support brace can rust out and make some pretty strange noises banging around in there...Just sayin...

Take the cards out of your spokes.:toothy6:

Seriously, if the other suggestions don't pan out, another thing to look for is something loose making contact with your steering components. One time I had a transmission line touching a tie rod end and making funny noises on sharp turns.

Had a wheel bearing race crack once. Took awhile to find it but if things were quiet....coasting with the engine off....you could hear it rolling straight but turning made it sound louder. I have a thumping sound on my 95 Dakota when I make a sharp turn or go over a dip but it started when I installed a set of 15x8 wheels from a 2000 Durango and found out pretty fast that the wheel lip was real close to the upper A arm edges and the weights were hitting them.
