New show on discovery after fast n loud .....dudes from Oklahoma claiming to have the fastest street cars in the country which I mean really ...come on not a chance in hell I know local cars that would mash them .....anyone else seen this and got any opinion of it?

they run an 1/8 mile illegally and from what I can see are total idiots..
1/8 mile? LOL not a fan of half tracks

how much is staged how much is real I dont know or care to know.
They trailer their cars .... except for the pickup who drives his around...LOL
It isn't a street car if its trailered to an event.. The whole thing is stupid of you ask me. Take it to the track it costs $30 to run all night.

There's another thread here somewhere on here already, IMHFO It's just another scripted reality show, from what I've seen they only race 1/8 mile too... I'd bet the police close off the roads for the production company, get paid to be there... Bold statement, from them, about possibly the fastest in the Country, typical car guy or reality show boasting crap.... Saw the leader guy "Chief" on the old Pinks show a few times, he never really had a "truly fast car" on that show, he always was just a loud mouth/"speaker head"/negotiator too, that I can remember anyway... I'll continue to watch thou, I watch all the car shows, even some I don't care for much, it's far better than the rest of the TV programming... Hollywood Celebrity type "fake people crap" like the Kardassians, some House Wives of some damn city or yet another damn Space invasion or Zombie gore show, stupid Vampires, or one of the way too many Cop & Lawyer shows... I use to do allot of street racing when I was young, so did my step father Bob when I was a child in the late 60's in Concord area, me it was all over mostly Northern Calif. & some Southern Calif. & there were some damn fast cars even back then, late 70's into early-mid 80's... Probably not the smartest thing to do, I have some friends that did it into the 90's & even some today still, but we had confirmed & ligament 7 - 8 - 9 -10 second 1/4 mile cars {basically the faster cars were mostly all just, "race cars with license plates"} that would street race for big bucks or even just bragging rights, some weren't the sharpest tools in the shed either.... I race at the track only now, it's not worth the hassle, car confiscation or jail time, well maybe a quick street lite romp occasionally, I am a "real car guy" after-all...

i live in okc and one of the local radio stations had the racer with the nickname doc on the other day.he said they have the roads blocked off when they race and always have an emt there in case of a wreck so its mostly staged.he also said that the only problems with the police have been when one of their guys got a ticket for blocking off the road with his car while the race was going on and that all the races are held in the middle of the night when there is little traffic.he did say that some of the guys don't like each other so some of thats real.he said the tv people contacted them about doing a show thru a web site the racers have.

Ahhh...that's what that show was. I thought I was watching this:

The father with the teenage son should be thrown in jail for helping and participating in those illegal street races. I would love to see one of them crash and get fubar'ed. There is no place on the street for this kind of behavior.....take it to the track!!!!

I have seen it and it is entertaining but I can tell alot of it is staged. Even though the cars are trailered to the race, they are all street legal in OK, since they don't have the regulations on them like we do here in CA. I can only watch the episodes once though, not worth a second look in re-runs.
The one guy that has the Mustang with a small block chevy in it is typical street racer/budget go fast. Drives me crazy when they put chevy motors in other types of cars. I have a 52 F1 that my brother in law built to drag race and he did that all chevy under the hood. Looking for an old flat head ford to replace it with.
