The Pacific war was an incredible combination of will & tactics, and luck. The battle of Midway was an amazing combination of intelligence gathering, strong leadership & flat out luck. That turned the tide on an enemy that was committed in much the same way as our current jihadists. For all you have served and continue to serve, THANK YOU.

Thank You USAroadrunner. Keeping record straight.....i did not serve.....Viet Nam was ended before my number came up in draft lottery. I did try to enlist in AF afterwards in 1974, but could not qualify for flight school.
I went to Military Academy in HS yrs & did ROTC.....but alas, no Service.

Update:
Our CTF commander "Laz" had been TDY (Temporary Duty) for the past week
He's back, signed the "Certificate" for Jimi's Flag being flown
Now all I'm waiting for is his "Laser engraved plaque" to go on the front of the Flag display case.
Shipping it to you Jimi in a couple of days.

I finally received the "Plaque" for Jimi's Flag presentation case
I'll put it on this week and ship it out to him

Here is the Plaque but for some strange reason it is "Loading" at 90 degrees
Even though the "saved" Jpeg is "normal" in my Pictures Library
