Supplier question

I was wondering has anyone used Collectors auto supply for parts like nos parts? I have found a couple of items I need for my 1975 Roadrunner and have never used them before and just curious about anyone's experience. Thanks

I was not really impressed with them. Most if not all of their parts are on consignment, and i was quoted one price then billed another, just a few bucks higher, didnt like that, and it took forever to get my parts, because the consigner was on vacation.

It was interesting when i found them, because they had a set of NOS wheel well moldings for 73/74 Roadrunner, and the consigner wanted 975 each for the rear and 650 each for the front. thats just a bit too high, but at least i got two NOS snubbers for the differential, because mine uses the solid rubber ones, not the ones that have the two metal clips. I probably would not use them again.

I used them as they are close to me. I needed a driver's door glass which they got no problem. The price was fair as I didn't need to have it shipped. They delivered it and I just met them at a local gas station to pick it up. They are great for having or finding parts but i will say that their prices are quite high for NOs parts. eg., $1600.00 for a NOS radiator. I wasn't aware that they sold parts on consignment. They can also save $$ on shipping for we Canadians as they have offices on both sides of the border.

I have used them for a couple of different things and while I find their prices a little on the high side, I have no complaints with their service or parts. When you are looking for NOS parts that are made out of unobtainium, like I was, I took a long time to decide that I wanted to peel loose with the bucks. But since I did, and have them in hand, I have never looked back and am glad to have them.
