Moog quality seems to have peaked and fallen.

As others have stated, Moog went to a globalist corporation and is being treated as such, minimally viable product riding the nameplate until it is dead. The CEO will have gotten his shareholders their margins, then will retire on a golden parachute when the company gets in trouble once the nameplate is dead and another even bigger fish swallows the whole group.
This is how globalist policy works.

Assume nothing, seek recent(current year) online reviews about products and brands before you buy anything. Even then, a lot of times all you can do is throw the dice....

When car manufacturers started to allow play in suspension and steering parts before warrantying them is where it started. In my previous life as a mechanic we had police cars that were still under factory warranty with loose lower ball joints. We would send them to the dealer and they would set up a dial indicator to measure and deny warranty because they didn't have enough slop. Aftermarket just following the OEM.
