ok, i have most of the suspension out of my 72 sattelite. who has an easy torsion bar removal tool makeup? no access to a welder so no welding. also, where to go for suspension kit and bushings. figure as long as its apart may as well replace it all. any advice is well appreciated.:thinker:

I made a simple t bar remover using a piece of 2x4 and some u bolts. Used 3 or 4 u bolts around the t bar and through the 2 x 4 (about 12' long). Whack on the 2 x 4 and the t bar comes out. Careful not to damage or knick the t bar if you are going to reuse it.

If you do nick it and it's not very bad, you can polish it out smooth.....

Hey Dog,

Just pulled my front suspension yesterday along with the K frame. Like you I don't weld so I tried vice grips, assorted clamps (I'm replacing them so I didn't care if they got nicked) with no luck so I got the tool from Mancini - $42 with shipping. I'm going to need it again when I do the Dart so I figured it was worth it. With the tool the T bars came out in less than a minute. Good luck.
