You have a car that is a time capsule and no one else will ever have another like it. If it were mine thats what I would do also, its really cool, but its your perspective and your car . Back in the mid 70s I had a chance to buy a 1964 corvette it had a ugly I thought at the time purple and white lace paint job and needed a battery, I said no way am I paying the $500 dollar asking price for that car I was too smart, I bought a 1967 Barracuda for $ 400 becuase it had great paint and had a good batterie. I told my boss who immeaditly bought the car and made tons of money off it when he sold it many years later. I was bias and couldnt see the beauty of the car because I didnt get the lace paint job thing, now I look back and realize just how cool that car was, and what a dope I was not to swoop up on a great car. Just one of many such tales I could tell. How often though do you see a car with the kind of detail of graphics that appear to be well done like yours? best wishes CDI think it looks cool with the Keystones and the acid trip mural,a real throwback to the way it was back in the 70's and not many are left that are like that.
It's like a piece of history and pop culture and really stands out as opposed to another restored car.
If it were my car and the mural part of the paint is still intact,I'd leave it the way it is and repair the areas around it that need attention.
It's your car,though,so it's your call.
