Nice car...... But it sure looks more like T5 then T7

Where the hell do you suppose my build sheet is hid? last fall I took out the back seet and checked behind the springs, also looked under the front seat... haven't found it yet.

Could also be under the carpet or could be under the dash...could be missing

Havent looked under the carpet yet but i did snoop around under the dash & couldn't find anything.
I had a guy tell me he found his inside his front seat back.

There was no designated place to locate the build sheet at the assembly plant. Most common at the Lynch rd plant was the backrest of the rear seat. Other common places were the front seat springs, under the carpet, inside the headliner, taped to the top of the glove box, above the gas tank. It's not uncommon to not find one at all.
I had a 69 GTX built at the Lynch rd plant that had a build sheet for a road runner in the back seat.

Well, I have to put a new headliner in this car, I actually have the new one, just have to wait till it's body and paint time because I imagine it's like other cars of the 60's and probably wraps the headliner material up under the front and rear glass gaskets.

Mine was under the front seat...well a section of it that didn't really give me much to go on was under there. When I tore out my carpet though I found an inspection report of some sort. Unfortunately it was to far gone to save, I could barely make out what it was and it had some drawing of a generic b body on it much like the drawing of a car on a rental agreement where you circle areas that have any damage.

)You have a car that is a time capsule and no one else will ever have another like it. If it were mine thats what I would do also,its really cool, but its your perspective and your car . Back in the mid 70s I had a chance to buy a 1964 corvette it had a ugly I thought at the time purple and white lace paint job and needed a battery, I said no way am I paying the $500 dollar asking price for that car I was too smart, I bought a 1967 Barracuda for $ 400 becuase it had great paint and had a good batterie. I told my boss who immeaditly bought the car and made tons of money off it when he sold it many years later. I was bias and couldnt see the beauty of the car because I didnt get the lace paint job thing, now I look back and realize just how cool that car was, and what a dope I was not to swoop up on a great car. Just one of many such tales I could tell. How often though do you see a car with the kind of detail of graphics that appear to be well done like yours? best wishes CD

Clay Dots, I understand and appreciate your thinking on the vintage artwork on my car. it reflects on the era I grew up in. The Murals them self are done pretty well, the pulsing panel work is ok, not great but ok. But there is damage to the paint and body in those areas. Also the paint under and up to the murals is poor. probably a single stage enamel.
Plus there's the bodywork under the paint that I just cant stand for.
The car is a 1969 model, the mural is dated 1976. from studying the car inside and out I can piece together this theory. The car suffered some sort of collision damage to the driver's side basically in the entire quarter area in the early/mid 70's. They banged things out as best they could and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to change colors. The owner at the time opted for white because it still went well with the saddle interior and the white vinyl top. They also got a wild hair and decided to do this mural thing at the same time.
The problems with it all are this, the driver's quarter I'm thinking is junk, she's heavy with filler to the point of which they lost that long slender spear like upper body line. the rocker to quarter transitions are caked with a heavy bondo coat that I'm having a hard time understanding, and the bird on the hood just doesn't match the quality of the murals on the sides...
Basically what I'm trying to say it, it's fun and kind of neat.... But I can't save it. i can take pictures and it's very likely I'll be peeling at least one if not both 1/4 skins off the car. If I do that I'll trim and save the skins to hang on the garage wall or something.
I've got to get that body right, that's my main priority right now I guess.
I don't know yet if I'll go with the T7 or not but I am fairly committed to putting the white vinyl top back on. Right now my 2 most likely directions are T7 with white vinyl top or a non factory "burnt metallic orange" with the white top.
