Good to see she's lending a hand or helping with your hobby & spending some great quality time with her Dad...

It's very cool when the kids take an interest in the project. My daughter wants to help me paint too.

This is great, I keep my children close to me, All projects around House and car are done together. MY children grew up nice , no drugs no problems and I am lucky. having your daughter help you is great, just like being involved in sports. I remember being a Boy Scout, today will they laugh at me?

My father bought me a floor jack from there after I was in junk yards every weekend looking for parts, to use, fix and sell . I got into Mopars at 17 the first Red 1970 Charger stunned me wow. O yes I had a BB gun can you imagine that! Drive past my house you will see a Flag hanging in front of the house wow!

That's funny and cool! I was visiting my buddy the other day and jokingly made the comment to his daughter (who was looking for something to do this summer) that she should learn to TIG weld. To my and her parents amazement, she said "sure". I need to see how that went. Her older sister is crazy about 50's era trucks. These girls are HS age!

That is inspirational and awesome sundance. Why this thread is not off the charts with comments I have no idea since it has quite a few views.

Good on ya brother !!

I see what you did there krowbar .. mask, front engine dragster :)

Very cool, sundance. My daughter helps me, too - she's 21 now. You two will have great memories regardless of what you work on or if she becomes a full on gearhead. Just hanging out together is rewarding in itself.

Very cool stuff Sundance. The best thing that you can teach your kids is that they can learn to do anything if they apply some effort and to not be afraid to try to learn something new. She will have skills that she can use the rest of her life.

Awesome, my daughter loves to help too but at 6 yrs old she gets bored pretty quick. I still remember watching my dad pull motors and rebuild them on the front porch, your setting an example that she'll remember.

Awesome that she's taking an interest. I do the same thing, I keep my 2 boys (1 and 4) involved in every project I do, house, yard, car, hobbies whatever. I figure if other things dont workout for em, they'll have a very solid foundation working with their hands.

For my young ones, it's all about giving them little side projects and making games as we go. "Hey, can you line up all daddy's sockets right here?" Or, "look out for the T Rex channel locks" lol.

Very cool. Dad's and Daughters together on a project will only reap benefits later in life for both!

Wow thank's guy's, I didn't exspect such a responce.I'm glad I posted this. She loves to hang out with me now more then ever so I'll take advantage of the help!! lol Seriously though it's alot of fun teaching her rather then her teaching me (correcting my spelling)....All the time! haha

I like the idea! ;)

That's great she is taking such a strong interest. You know she's going to want a project to do herself.
