if real 69 T/A, 400cid Ram Air III motor/engine
it's A whole lot more $$ than the run of the mill z28 too,
far more rare car
& yes I agree, a tad bit more class, more trim & quick
& I like gen 1 Camaros, I had a bunch of real 67 & 68 z28s
they weren't badged as z28, then it was just an option #, line item with restrictions
the disc brakes options (especially rears) on the z28 was a huge deal
all z28 (in gen 1) were 4 speeds & 12 bolt multi-leaf cars,
you could get a RS option, with the hide away headlights/grill
hallo' vinyl roofs, where it didn't go all the way to the edge of the drip rails
everything was an option on them (except A/C or Auto)
so was the 'cross ram' w/2 Holley's linkage etc., a big $$ deal now
(sort of a Smokey Ram intake w/2x4bbls, never was factory installed, it came in the trunk)
that DZ302 motor needs 'long tube' 1-3/4" headers (&/or 1.6:1 rockers too)
to help breath, really wakes them up, way over the 290hp rating, big valve 2.02" heads
so it can rev to near 7,000 rpm easily
(the OE cast iron manifold suck/really restrict it big time)
they all could be had with optional chambered (2-1/4" ?) exhaust,
it was like permanent dimpling in the pipe, w/no crossover muffler
or could get a fresh air/cowl induction hood, it wasn't std equipment
IIRC the disc brake cars came with the 15x7 (?) Rally Wheels,
with the trim rings & almost flush mini caps
(reg. rally wheels had a bigger longer style center cap)
they could be had with painted steelies & small 'poverty style' hubcaps
the gauges either 3 or 5 IIRC lil' rectangular gauges on the top/front of console,
was a big deal too, rare to have the console & the gauges,
lots of cars with consoles with out them, too
there's lots of really well done clones,
you could get (a lot) cheaper than a real documented 1969 z28
& there a tone of fakes, 5-10+ (maybe 20 times) times as many selling,
then GM ever built, with way more in red/white stripes, than were ever org. built/bought
or outright frauds out there,
be careful if you go after a high $$ car, should have documentation
I've forgot more than I remember, especially the codes or #s of the options
which now I have no idea, haven't dealt with then since 2005
in this case the -www- is your friend go to trusted Camaro sites, some are pricks
just get the info you need, don't need to buddy up with anyone
good luck
