I've owned 4 Mustangs thru my driving
history.
1965 GT Fastback
1985 5.0 GT Convertable
2012 GT 5.0 (died an early death)*
2014 GT 5.0
Never had a problem with any major
component.
*Liked the 2012 the best due to upgrades
with their Coyote engines. The car was
parked when claimed by a hurricane.
My true love turned out to be the Jeep line
after owning four of those.
1977 J10 Pickup
1978 Grand Wagoneer
1979 CJ7 Golden Eagle
2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
My first Mopar stems from my career as a
mechanical engineer. A 1940 Plymouth
pickup/custom tube chassis. Close to
completion, I can't wait to mash the pedal
on that 440...
I've always felt, even since I was a youngster,
that almost all different manufacturers had
that certain something that drives/drove
buyers to spend their hard earned money on.
I can see likes of different makes from
different model years.
And the most prevalent thing I learned
in my classes at college was ANYTHING
mechanical will eventually fail. There's not
a single manufacturer out there that
doesn't offer replacement parts.
I worked for a fleet department for a large
utility company. There was an attic full
of Chevy camshafts, and the secret stash
of failed Chrysler transmissions.
But that didn't stop me from jumping into
the Mopar realm. I have never owned
a Chevrolet vehicle.
And you can bet.....I'll never, ever, own
an EV. V-8 Cast iron is American.
