Some people should not be allowed to work on cars. What a butcher job. Thankfully he didn't cut into the cross member & it can be fixed with the correct console shift position tunnel.

A pile of parts. I guess the engine had some issues as well. Good thing I pulled it as it probably would have left me on the road. Again, some people just shouldn't touch cars.

The insert is fastened to the hood. Looking real good.

The Bumpers are all assembled & ready to go back on the car. I will run them to the city on Monday.

Hey there Wookie! Looks AWESOME!

I do have two quick questions about your insert as I have the identical one and need to stop it from leaking and have new emblems without fasteners.

1) What did you use as a gasket between the insert and hood?
2) What type of anchor/fasteners did you use for the emblems?

Thank you kindly!

Troy

I actually used windshield butal seal. It comes in a roll & can stretch & bend to any shapeit worked real well.

I just used speed nuts for the emblems with 2 way tape behind.

It is coming together nice.

Thanks.

A few more updates. The rear end is out. New springs, shocks, disk brakes and a 3:91 ring gear to go in it.

Vinyl is final . .

Where did you get the vinyl top from?
I need one for my 73 Satellite.

How hard was the install?
:edgy:

Mike.

Got he vinyl from Legendary Interiors. A shop in the city put it on for me. Did an awesome job of it too.

hey there that really does look nice! i did the tach thing as well feels right to have a tach instead of a clock.

Yes. I prefer a stock looking appearance on the outside. Never have been a fan of an added tach. This way is more money, but worth it in the end I think.

The front end is prepped for the RMS front end kit, as well as the rear end is prepped for the super stock springs. New brake lines and a 3/8 fuel line to go in as well. One step closer.

Here is the floor being prepped. Bucket seat plates welded in, small floor repair and the tunnel being fitted for the proper console shift position. Another step ahead.
