We live up by Cleveland, Ohio. It's about a 4-4.5 hour trip for us. We head out on Thursday morning and then on Saturday around 3 we head home
Yes, I typically set up my car and then go cruise around and check out the sights. I have also left my car on the show field and just put a car cover on it. However, most people remove their cars every day.Thank y'all very much as this information helps a lot with with understanding which days are best as well as trailer parking issues! I just rebuilt the engine and no working AC which is the reason for the trailer. 69bfan it is the year for 71's so I have to bring it! But no worries about me sitting on it as I have had it a long time and honeymoon days are in the past. I normally park the car and then I am off, with the car as a rest stop when needed.
Agree. A sun shelter is highly recommended as the sun can be brutal after awhile. However, just make darn sure it is very securely fastened to the ground. The wind can get really strong really quickly and a sun shade blowing across the grounds is NOT a good thing!!!If you can bring a EZ up or some type of sun shelter.
I know you are from Texas but that week seems to always be really hot in Carlisle.

Seeing that the 50th was not really celebrated last year for the 70 year model, I feel that this will probably be the last really large turnout of the true performance years.
Also I highly suggest bringing LOTS of water, sunscreen, and maybe an extra pair of clothes too incase you sweat a lot
The Fairgrounds diner is really good place. (And it's air conditioned...)And I also forgot, maybe bring your own food/lunch too. The lines for food are normally a disaster in my opinion and the prices are normally a rip off
Seeing that this will be the 50th Anniversary of the 71 model year and that the 50th was not really celebrated last year for the 70 year model, I feel that this will probably be the last really large turnout of the true performance years. We are all getting older and it will be much tougher to pull together a really strong showing of 72 model year cars for 2022.

Sounds like a great car - thanks for registering! If you haven't already, I'd greatly appreciate if you included FBBO as your car club. Maybe one of these years we will actually be able to cover the cost of the tent!!!I'm registered on show field. Binging my 1967 Coronet. Dark Turquoise, white top, white interior.
