I received a call last night from a woman in my small town. She knows that I have been working on my Road Runner and that I like Mopars. She tells me that she has a car that she would like to sell me if I am interested. I tell her I will be glad to come out and she told me to come now if I can. I tell her, April, for a Mopar I will drop everything. I get out to her farm to find a 1970 Hemi Cuda that she wants to sell me. She has the original invoice that her husband got when he bought it. She tells me that for that same price, right at $4000 I can have it. I have spent so much on my RR that money is tight, however I would be a FOOL not to buy it. So, now I own it and I will have pics for you tonight!

Holy crap!!! you are one lucky dude...i hate you! LOL

Same joke every year.

I thought maybe she was giving her husband a divorce and also wanted him to get the SHAFT.

Yes it was an April Fools Day Joke. I am not much of a story teller, so I took advantage of the one day of the year when it ok to do so. I never find these deals. By the time I am done with my RR I will be so upside down in it I will have to mount the bench seat on the roof and the steering wheel on the floor pan to drive it.

Don't feel bad, should have seen all the folks snagged up on the last prank.
We'll be sure to send out your "Mr. T Playdo set" for being the lucky contestant fool!

Ive heard stories like that from some of my buddies that were true. Sad thing is that I think those days are long gone. But you never know...

Don't know if that story is true, but I knew of a Packard that was owned by a ummmmmmm.........ethnic funeral home. Being as how it was from a time before A/C it picked up an "aroma" that literally stuck with it.

It was cleaned several times with no luck. Then the car was completely disassembled and repainted inside and out, and got all new interior....seat stuffing and all. Still the smell persisted. Eventually that owner (someone I knew btw) decided he had done enough and sold the car. I have no idea where that car is now
