The Golden Rotisserie Chicken

Nice garage and lift. How tall are your ceilings?
Not a bad looking car too!

Well , I guess it's visually done. All parts installed. Now it's a matter of ironing out all of the little issues. Are they really ever done? Drove Wifey on the maiden voyage through the neighborhood on Saturday. First time we've been together on a ride in a 68 RR since her and I were in High School in 1972. I knew , after all the cash I spent , she had to get the first ride !!! LOL. I guess I'd better get the vintage tags registered pretty quick , so I don't get myself in hot water. Need to get the front end aligned this week also. The small issues i have are a leaking from the rear of the master cylinder. ( good thing I used silicone fluid , as not to eat paint ). I've got a kit around here somewhere , to repair it with. Was rebuilt though, but did sit around for a while. I wouldn't think the silicone fluid was too thin or slippery for the system. Any thoughts on that? Also could use some input on this... No power steering action with rebuilt pump and stock gearbox installed. Haven't looked at it yet, but I suspect the original pressure hose could be collapsed or a bypass valve somewhere stuck open. Anyone with experience here on that? Other than that , an inop washer pump and a bad ground somewhere on a brake light. Everything else works fine. Kind of amazing!!. I'd like to thank everyone who helped out along the way with advise and encouragement. It's great to have a group like this that helps out like you do. No better Forum anywhere.

great color

Just beautiful man! Great workmanship, I have to be honest ive been waiting to see these since you put the paint on, You should be proud, Thanks for posting these up and good luck working out the small things, YES, get it registered all legal like, Cops who know cars will want to stop you just to get a closer look at this sweet piece of history! :)

All that time, all that money, all the headaches and all the accomplishments and here you are. You've built an amazing car and she looks beautiful. Many congrat's to you and like Ron mentioned, you should be very proud. I hope life allows you and your wife to spend many happy years tooling down the road in that Plymouth.

Thanks Will, And again , thanks to everyone on this forum for the needed information and encouragement to get to the end of a long haul. I know that many of you have accomplished this before , and many are still on their journey. I hope that I can contribute some information and knowledge to others as time goes forward. I can't overstate how valuable this forum is as a tool to those involved in this hobby. I know It's the most valuable tool in my toolbox. And what a great bunch of personalities also. I hope to put plenty of miles on the Chicken this spring on cruise in's and enter some shows. And I guess I'll start looking for the next project.LOL!!

I knew that was going to be a beautiful car when you said what color you were going to paint it. But that is just gorgeous. Showed the photo's to the wife and she said it was cool.

Just to add to what everyone has already stated...the Runner turned out awesome! If mine ends up half that nice I will be a happy camper!

All I can say is... WOW!!! :app:

What a super nice job! You should rightly be proud of the car. I have a 1970 I am hoping to start on soon, and I can only hope and dream that it turns out half as nice as yours.

My car is an original limelight car (as opposed to most others that aren't), and mine is painted yellow now! Go figure...:thinker: Your car is making me consider painting it something other than Limelight though.

Once again - FANTASTIC CAR!!!!

Holy cow white, what a car! This is by far one of the nicest resto I have ever seen!
This is something to aim for for all of us, if I can reach halfway I would be more then happy.
Thanks for sharing!

Have driven the Road Runner 180 miles to two different shows in the last three weeks. Still working out some small bugs. Also, here is a newly acquired accessory for the Road Runner for longer road trips. Got a great deal on this 4yr old loaded trailer, from out in Virginia. Ironically it got used for the first time last weekend To MOVE MY DAUGHTER out of a town house and into a new house!!!

Congrats, that's one nice bird you've built. I hope that trailer isn't an indication that you'll be hauling it everywhere, a car like that needs to be seen by all not just show goers. Enjoy
