There are a ton of abandond luxury cars in Dubai, apparently left by executives who lost thier jobs in the financial crisis.

I hope I havent told this story before.....

So the wife and I are on a motorcycle ride in North Texas... cruise through a little town. There sits a 65 Malibu SS... under a tree weeds grown up. I come back a few weeks later, ask the old guy in the wife beater unwashed t-shirt if it was for sale. I stopped at least every 6 months.
Fast Forward 7 years.... before we moved to Florida I stopped by to ask one more time. Sure enough he walks out in the SAME shirt I'm SURE OF IT!!

nahhh I'm gonna fix it up one of these days" I just need the money to git round to it"

Sorry guys but the same crap was stacked around the broken down house a tree was growing up through the hood with it CLOSED!!!

Being the smartazz that I am... I said "yeah but if I were you I'd start by washing my clothes first" .... got in my car and drove away.

That red Delorean...I remember when they were new and I saw a television ad for one, painted red. Dealers were having a hard time getting rid of them after the company folded, and were trying anything to attract attention.

'79 Lil' Red Express truck

As it sat, the salvage yard was asking $500.00 for the whole truck. It was probably worth it for the stout rear end and 360 still in it. It was a real Lil Red, had the correct VIN markings, tire decals, engine decals. Still had the wood panels on the bed and the chrome side step covers. A few weeks later the truck was gone. A few months later, the same exact truck appeared on craigslist and was parted out.

Out on walk today with wife, came by a storage yard...well as you can see...and just to think they are paying probably 60-70 per month to store it...took it through the fence wth my phone

That truck don't look to shabby, and they parted it out, thats a shame, to see it in the picture it looks decent.

more Lil Red pictures

The Lil red express was weatherbeaten inside and out. It was probably worth saving, though, and unfortunately didn't make it into the hands of someone who really wanted it. Had the JS9 in the VIN code, and correct four spoke Omni steering wheel. The rear end was probably a 3.55 sure grip but I'm not sure.
