I had the same year van (no side window) with a 318 automatic in it, I drove it until Pa, because of the shape the body was in wouldn't inspect it anymore, My neighbor in Ohio wanted it because at that time they didn't have inspection like we do and the thing run great. He got another two years out of it, then pulled it out behind his barn and used it to keep stuff in it, sure got the use out of that one.. I hate saving parts myself (Parting out) but try to save ones i think possible to help me later, no room to save absolutely everything..

i think that van had somewhere around 324,000 miles on it, and i bought it from the first owners son. he was going to scrap it, so i bought it to save the parts on it. rust had gotten to it pretty bad and every inch of shag carpet in the back was absolutely soaked with water.

it was a rare one to! it had some special summer only package if i can remember right, was 100% complete but it was rusted out way bad

holy crap! my Dad had a '55 New Yorker the same colors around '60. He grew up in Beaver Falls. I wonder........

it was brought into the yard with this 1962 300H letter car! both had been sitting for years in a field, the 300 was last registered in 1981.. i saved the H and my father bought the New Yorker for the Hemi, then scrapped the rest :icon_neutral:
