What I would do is, build some wood frames out of 1x1" wood. Build one frame for each window. Tack/staple the mesh to it. Then, build another 1x1" frame and sandwich the mesh between the 2 frames. Put in place over the screens. That way, in the future, you (or a future owner) can "un-cat-proof" the room and still have undamaged, viable, 'regular' screens.What's keeping from executing is how to attach the mesh to the aluminum screen frames.
