3! 2,11,13 All my albums and old 45s were “vinyl” or some kind of plastic, don’t know if that counts or not.

I used to have to write 8" floppy boot disks for mainframe controllers.

...and I've loaded programs from cassette tape.

Talk about waiting for code to load...

I learned to program on punch cards that were fed into an IBM System/360 that took up an entire climate-controlled room. The drives were in cabinets that were probably 3 feet across and 3-4 feet tall. This was in 1979/1980. PCs just became available towards the end of the 9 month vocational program I was in, and they added a PC course at the end to cover them.

I remember loading software from 3.5 floppy disks sometimes the 3-7 disks would take 2-4 hours and with any luck they would all work. I learned to carry multiple sets of disks, drive cleaners, and drives themselves. The world got a lot easier when i bought my first backpack CD rom.

I went to electronics school in 74. Our first semester was vacuum tubes. Second semester was solid state, third got into cutting edge technology, ic (integrated circuits). Gasp!
