The Trifecta

finding out is the start of the fix , now its on the next step . be glad you found out , i great bud of mine . had the same thing done , it added 10 years to his life . hoping n praying for your full recovery my friend .

An update, last prognosis was only half right. As I lost function of the legs I continued to get referred out to specialists. I went to a pain management Doctor and he sent me to a neurologist . He ordered an emergency MRI. The next day I went into a 7 hour surgery to remove most of the backside of T12. As well as adding multiple pieces of hard ware to give my spine support. Now I'm doing time in keyser rehab working my back on to my feet. Special shout to Paul for always being there. You don't know what that means to me.

Don't mention it my friend. I just keep praying that you make a full and speedy recovery. We need you out here on the Interstate, there's miles to cover.

Well I made it home today, they wouldn't let me walk out as my back is still healing. But I will take it, I have a long way to go.

A lot has happened since the last time I posted on this thread. I'm finally ready to lay it out. After coming home I had 1 more Doctor yet to see, an oncologist. She proceeded to tell me I have stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. Luckily they started me on a new immunotherapy treatment that's relatively easy to do. But that's not the worst of it, while I was trying to process all that was going on I shut everyone out except for my wife. I mentally shut down and abandoned a friend who has been there for me. Yes it is a member here. I'm not asking for forgiveness, just coming clean.

Like any TRUE friend, he's probably really worried about you AND your wife, with all that you have to deal with. A simple phone call to know that you're staying strong and to hear in your voice that you're okay no matter what adversity you're faced with, you are up for the challenge would probably mean a lot.
Only Jesus offers true forgiveness and a REAL friend doesn't waiver!!
Just my opinion.

Thanks but you are the friend I'm referring to, regrets are heavy and back breaking.

now that's a friendship that will last more than a life time.

I know where you've been, Roger. Boy, do I....
No sage wisdom offered from here, other than maybe for one really simple one:
Just keep getting back up.
Every. Damn. Time.
Cuss if you gotta. Break a couple things, whatever works - but make nothing else
matter more than just getting back up one more time than you get knocked down.

HUGE prayers for you and yours, sir!
