Would the torsion bars really be whats holding most of the engine weight? Because as far as i know shock absorbers do not hold weight i believe. (Im still learning some things)
Shocks dampen the bounce. Think of a rubber ball you throw on the ground. It continues to bounce lower and lower until it stops and rolls. A shock will stop
that bounce at 1 or 2 bounces. The torsion bar, leaf spring or coil spring are what holds the car up.
