-A former teacher at a Christian school in Maine was arrested days before Christmas after she allegedly sexually assaulted a student under the age of 14-years-old, officials said.

-Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, 43, was taken into custody Dec. 21 after turning herself in at a local jail, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

-The alleged offenses took place during the fall of 2016 when Brann was a teacher at the Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro, located about 60 miles northeast of Portland.

Substitute teacher, 23, accused of having sex with two students, including 14-year-old
A former substitute teacher at an Ohio school district is accused of having inappropriate sexual relationships with two students, including a 14-year-old boy.

-Darci L. Lake, 23, pleaded not guilty to nine counts of sexual battery on Wednesday. She faces a maximum of five years in prison for each count.

-According to court documents, Lake was a substitute teacher with Maysville Local Schools near Zanesville when she began sexual relationships with two students.

-Police said one was 16 years old and one was 14 years old when the offenses began as early as Feb. 1, 2017. They continued through Nov. 1, 2017.

-The two students are now 17 and 15 years old.

-Lake, who was 22 at the time the offenses began, was arrested on Dec. 21 and posted a $200,000 bond the same day.

Los Angeles teacher allegedly strips naked, chases students in playground: report


A physical education teacher at a Los Angeles-area elementary school allegedly stripped naked on campus Friday and chased second and fifth-graders students around a playground, reports said.



Parents were notified of the incident that affected second and fifth-graders, CBS Los Angeles reported.

A construction worker passing by the scene at Carthay Center Elementary School captured cell phone video of the unidentified teacher putting his pants back on in the playground, the station reported.


The teacher was not identified in the report other than he was a contracted employee who works for the district’s STAR Education program.

The school sent a letter home to parents that an “individual began behaving in an unusual way” and that law enforcement was contacted. The school went on a brief lockdown, the report said.

Following the incident, the children were able to see mental health counselors, the report said.
