Things you should never do to a 71 Plymouth

lose the trunk chunk and chop the rocker flares to about 1/2 that size It would be really nice!

It has that certain "I left my model kit in the windowsill and the sun melted it" look...
Blob-errific!
*ugh*

The 71 & 72 R.R, GTX and Satellites are one of my least favorite Mopars to begin with. Even worse, almost all of them everyone adds a go or gull wing. One can customize it all they want, it is still a fugly car.

I'm guessing that its an auto with a pistol-grip?
Lovely interior and very modern looking!
The outside went a bit astray and why fit a 392 hemi in a modern Mopar?
I suppose it looked naff so they covered it up with err covers..

My loaded 70 Charger R/T S.E. was almost a $6000.00 car when new.

That's a lot, but the 1970 Imperial LeBaron started over $6,000 before adding a single option.

My girlfriend just pointed out there were probably Pontiac purists upset they "ruined"
perfectly good GTOs to build the Monkeymobile...

Make it your car people - Make it your house, boat, guitar etc
Not really the same thing though, as Jim Wangers handed over two GTO converts for the project, pulled from a supply pool of promotional vehicles. Pontiac likely built a few extra for just this purpose. One of the GTOs was originally driven my Major Nelson in I Dream Of Jeanie before being modified for the Monkees.
