My most recent "muscle" vehicle was my '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. Super-quick little bugger, pass everything but a gas station though! But damn, that factory exhaust sounded GOOD!
Currently, I'd drive my '70 Charger anywhere now that I have it sorted out and gone through. Front end rebuild last winter and alignment this spring took care of all I'd worry about on a longer trip. It has a PS leak, but I carry fluid and top it off when it whines. Gauges work (including fuel), tires are good, brakes are....well, they're 4 wheel drums but they're reliable. Temps are dead-cold; charging system is good; cruises all damn day at 80mph, practically idling (love that 2.76? gearset!). I drive it to work regularly, but since it's had water issues in the past I try and avoid rainy days until (if) I replace window felts and seals and stuff. And take out the incorrect 2 speed wiper motor and replace it with a correct 3 speed - right now the wipers are fast...and ridiculously fast. But they work. And I still need to quiet the exhaust - the 2 chamber mufflers DRONE, but that's more of an annoyance than anything.
Daily drove my '72 Satellite wagon for five or six years, with the 360/380 crate motor and reverse manual valve body. Got in a lot of trouble, running a low-13 second street car on a regular basis.
Daily drove my '06 Magnum RT until it got t-boned by a moron who ran a stop sign.
If I had a late Challenger (looked at, but missed out on, a Hennessy '10 recently), I'd run the piss out of it.
I ride my "muscle bike" on a regular basis, too - 2009 Buell 1125; 370 lbs wet, 156hp at the rear tire, SERIOUS troublemaker. If I can keep the front end down, and shift fast enough, it's a 9 second bike easy. T.r.o.u.b.l.e. But FUN.
