This may be a crazy question regarding transmission tail shaft location....

The transmission mount for the tail shaft has slotted holes that allow you (maybe) to move the engine/transmission assembly right or left. Does anyone know what affect moving it completely to one side has? I'm trying to chase down a vibration I'm having and it feels like it's in the driveline. New driveshaft/universal joints...the drive shaft was balanced, I aligned the transmission/bell housing within the specs.

What should the angle degree be at between the rear and transmission?

I "think" your driveshaft should be pretty "straight on" headed into the transmission yoke (front u-joint) and slightly like a "V" at the rear yoke.....sort of slightly "nose down" at front of the differential's yoke compared to driveshaft.

Who's mount are you using that has sideways slots? The last figure I remember seeing was 20 degrees horizontal. The vertical is way more critical. Not so much as to shaft slope but differences in tail shaft and pinion slopes.

It might be a worn-out tailshaft bushing. (Bronze). Take the tailshaft off and
bring it into a trans shop and have them press out the old one and put in a new one.
