Converting from mechanical to Hydraulic clutch like the one on my new Tremec 6060 ment some fabrication was needed.
Used a Brembo master cylinder from a BMW e39 and fabricated brackets to fit the cylinder in the same position as the original clutch lever.
Now I have to connect my clutch pedal to the cylinder with a clever kind of link.
Also managed to fit the driver side vent window this weekend.
One small step at the time
Took an 14 hour roadtrip yesterday to pick some much needed parts I ordered a few months ago.
Like Christmas x 10
15 x 7 magnum 500
F70-15 Firestone redlines
Fueltank( for fuel injection )
Disc brake conversion kit
New spindels
Brake booster
TTI motormounts
Milodon oilpan
PCM kit (for my gen 3 HEMI) from Mopar Performance
3” Flowmaster mufflers
Cant wait to fit it all......
Testfitting my new gastank from
Tanks Inc. Shiny piece with beautiful finish and built for fuel injection.
Electrical fuelpump and sending unit included.
Looks and fits great!
Converting to power disc brakes requires a new master cylinder and booster. Fitted a new unit today complete with the correct firewall mounting plate. Also fitted the fuel filler pipe witch forced me to cut a hole in my new trunk floor
Finaly got my drive by wire gaspedal in place.
Who ever said that the Mopar Performance PCM kit for the gen3 HEMI is a bolt on in a b-body is lying.
To fit the new electronic gaspedal You have to modify the heater box.
So, after a couple of hours of testing and fabricating i got it all in place!
Its quite tricky to get the pedal to sit just right and not interfear with any other brackets or cables in the engine bay.
One step closer to completing the hart transplant today.
Its a tight fit but I think everything will find its place.
Tomorrow will se some floorcutting and fabrication of a new crossmember
Powerplant finaly in place.
Its tight but no major clearence issues other than the gearbox of course.
Some extensive cutting was nessecery.
Will modify and reuse the stock crossmember.
The shifter location is near perfect.
So, car is back on all 4 Wheels again.
Will have to disassemeble the entire front suspension one more time to get it all right.
Some of the new parts was on backorder so will have to fit them later on.
Have ordered a new transmissionmount from Mopar and when it gets here I will start fabrication on the transmission crossmember.
Also mocking up a new transmission tunnel.
Paint looks awsome in the sunshine
