Time for a show lets see the 71-74's

I thought I'd bump this thread because it's so awesome! Post more if you got em!:headbang:

I got rid of my first 71 Roadrunner in the early 90's....regret it to this day....

Missed out on this one a few weeks before leaving Alaska....71 SSP 383, Buckets, auto, etc....Look at these rear quarters! Owner decided that he DID NOT wish to sell after speaking with him....I was NOT a happy camper!

I was surfing thru eBay many years ago, and stumbled across my old 71 RR....looked a bit different from when I had sold it....

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of this car, please contact me....I have some history of it for the owner....the last 6 on the VIN are 131774

This is how I found my 71 Roadrunner sitting....Left to die in a field....got it for $220....made a deal with the owner for $225, but he stole the grill emblem and the horns between the time that I found the car and the time that we had struck the deal....pissed me off....

Here's my 1971 Satellite. I found it on Craigslist and it's being shipped to Bristol TN as we speak! Supposed to be here Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait!

71 GTX, That RR in the field looks like it was in real nice shape, I sold one i had i now wish i wouldn't have, i imagine there is a bunch here that can say the same thing.

renoman22, Its worth it but that waiting game your involved with is a bummer im sure! You'll forget once its there, time for the fun to begin then!!

It was rotted pretty bad back in 83 when I found it....did some work to preserve it a bit....did what I thought was right and what I could afford, but bottom line is that SALT continues to rust metal even though a car is no longer driven in salt....

Sad but true with rust.. You may find another one day, never give up on a dream, don't let it turn into a fantasy! keep looking, the right one will show up one day..

Already got one....a 71 GTX.... ;)

The thing with the 71 RR, was that it had come with the Hemi Suspension....15" wheels, bigger brakes, handling package....it was somewhat rare for a standard motor to have that type of package, or so I was told by Galen Govier at the time....

Practice car.
Came with almost all of another car except the unibody.
Plus new in the box vinyl top and carpet.
Runs and drives.
Hood is shiny.
$600

Your practice car? Or are you selling this, If you lived closer i would be very tempted to buy that, i really like these Chargers.

New to the site. The first picture is circa 1990 (mine since 1985). Second picture is 04/2011. It was time to dig it out. It runs/drives/stops again. Hope to give it a complete go-through..

The plan WAS to learn and practice body work on this practice car, as I'm more of a mechanical guy with suspension and brakes as my specialty.
Then to sell and put proceeds toward the other projects.
I am, however, starting to become attached to the color combo and the car in general.
I HATE it when that happens.
It's really a toss-up between which is better between this one and the 74.
73 needs both lower quarters, serious roof work (adequate would do with vinyl), front floor patches, lower fenders, trunk floor center, and cowl/firewall work.
74 needs even more quarter work, rear floor work, fender and door work, inner fender work, and k-frame mount work.
Plan B was to asses needs and swap/cut parts off one for the other.
Right now I'm doing what abolutely needs to be done to get 73 streetable, then I will re-asses..
