[72 Satellite]

Time to keep this thread moving...

My '72 Satellite purchased in February of this year. Made it to Carlisle for the first time in 25 years! Currently finishing up changes to the interior to make it "mine". Back to Bright Blue (B5) on all the panels, carpet & dash pad, keeping the buckets white, not sure about keeping the headliner white or changing it to blue as well. Also, new aftermarket Rallye style cluster pre-wired and ready to install. Strong rebuilt 440, .030 over with aluminum heads, headers and Electronic ignition. Reverse valve body 727 with B&M Pro-Stick. Dana 60 with 3.55's, 4-link coil over rear with subframe connectors. 20" American Gassers in the rear and 18"'s up front. Honestly having so much fun driving her, it's keeping me from finishing up the changes I want to make! Love all the cars in this thread, took me 2 weeks to get through it!

I did a bunch or work over the spring to get the stance i wanted . I installed new 6 leaf rear springs 4 Bilstien shocks,larger torsion bars ,larger front sway bar, 3/4" rear sway bar , Firmfeel polyeurathane kit for upper and lower control arms, stiffener plate for lower control arm,idler arm,tierods, up graded to slot/hole dic brakes, still need to put rear disc brakes on, Magnum 500 15x8 wheels, 275/60/15,235/60/15 Cooper Cobras.

Silver with a black SE roof is my favorite color combo on 73/74 cars.

In fact, a car like that is what brought me back into the hobby after an almost 10 year break!

In fact, a car like that is what brought me back into the hobby after an almost 10 year break!

My first car in high school was silver and black also I had it from 1982-85 it was a full vinyl top with sunroof wish I still had that one but I'm happy with this one also.

Similar situation for me too. 1974 Charger 2DR HT red with black canopy vinyl top, black interior, bench seat, 318 auto column no AC. Mine was rougher than yours lol. 1979-1981. Wish I still had it.

I think it's cool we all recognize how much we loved those cars and are willing to go thru the head aches that come with owning this car again lol. One day it would be cool to have a neutral place for all 73/74 could meet that would be so awesome.

Back in the day, around 1977, just out of high school, I drove a 69 Sat 4 door. My good friend Mike bought a 73 Charger SE triple black. I loved that car! We cruised it constantly. My next car was 73 Sat Sebring Plus. Still liked Mike's Charger better.

Now I have 2, a 72 Charger and a 73 Charger. Still liked Mike's car better.

My 1st real car was a 73 Charger SE. It was B5 blue with a white, 400 2 barrel. I had it from 1976- 1980. Sure wish I had it back.
