Time to sell?

Winter is the wrong time to sell a car if that's what you end up having to do.

That's all I have for now.
 
I suggest you hold onto the car. Wait a while save some money that you'll need to finish it. And if you've lost that living feeling for the bird, you can sell it for more than you can now and have all that money to buy your beloved grandkids something.
 
Hold on to it... things will improve! Be optimistic.
 
I wouldn't sell it. I've been working on mine for 11 years. I've gotten burned out a couple times. Just keep buying parts for when you have time.
 
Park it, cover it.. let it sit as long as it takes til you are up for it. Think of the odds that you will EVER get a 440-6 roadrunner again without selling a lung and a kid.... if you don't need the money and it's not in the way.. let it sit.

Same here , except mine is done , the drive just isnt there anymore , get it out about once a month to keep the battery up , and well , to dust a mustang or charger...
 
I’ve had some of my cars for over 45 years some times I don’t work on them for years take some time off and decide later. I have way too cars and projects. I’ve told my wife I have enough projects to last me 20 years after I die. To me my cars are a big part of who I am and the friends I enjoy. Dealing on 2 more to add to the collection currently.

That's right! My 67 R/T was parked in the garage and covered since about 1995 until 3 summers ago. I've been slowly refreshing it, brakes, suspension, cooling, and fuel system. Just this summer I got it started again. Now it's a weekly few hours to start it, tinker with the carb, timing, etc., back it out of the garage, then drive it back in. At 65 I feel like the 24 y.o. I was when I bought it.
 
Since you're in your 50's, I assume you have a little money to burn. So my advice is (assuming no sentimental attachment to your project car) buy a car that checks a lot off the list of what you want. Then sell your project. Both of those things are time consuming in itself though.

I'm your age too and also with not much free time. I bought the 1970 Charger in my avatar in 2001 with a worn out drivetrain and lots of rust bubbles under the paint. I rebuilt the engine, trans, & rear end, then drove it 30,000+ miles until I decided to tear it down for restoration in 2009. I pulled it completely apart, then replaced the floor pan and trunk floor. That's when I decided I hated metal and body work. So I pushed it aside and bought other projects that didn't need as much and focused on those. I enjoyed working on those cars much more than doing a full resto. I told myself I'd never sell it, but honestly, if I found another '70 Charger that was close to what I plan to build my car in to, I'd buy it and sell my project.
