Hey.
My new MSD Pro Billit 8546 distributor is arriving tomorrow.
I’m looking for opinions regarding initial/total timing settings.... springs, bushings, spacers.
My info:
69 RR 440-6
506 stroker motor
10.5 compression
Cam is .600 lift/256 duration
Manual transmission

Thanks!!!

Bushing for 18 or 20 advance. I forget which one comes with it. Both light springs and set initial at 14 to start

What rear-end gears and what octane gas is available in your area?

I'd be surprised if it needed more than 34 total. As much as it will take initial, some where around 20.

I agree. As long as you keep the octane level up, the lightest MSD springs and as much initial as it will take without hot start problems. Total 34-36 should be very close.
