TITLE/VIN TAG

thats clearly wrong, and an odd thing for them to say.
when you turn in a registration or bill of sale for a 71 and older car,you get back a title.
in ny state.

I think the fact I was from out of state messed up the process. This happened 10 years ago, an odd situation I wouldn't get into again. Guy with the car had a lien against it. Went to the credit union, cleared the lien with my money. Went to the DMV with the lien release.

I just dug up a copy of what the NY DMV issued - "New York State Registration Document" marked "Transferable" and issued in the seller's name. Anyway, I got a PA title, and later sold the car in PA with no issues.

Not sure why I was quoted and then accused of not googling.

I certainly did google the name of the GA based title company mentioned in the post I referenced.

I got zero results for that name.

Under my quoted text was posted the state of GA title policy.

NOT the same thing.

I happened across a Coronet for sale in here in Georgia. The guy who is selling it states that the car is a rusted out hull. But offers all of the vin and body numbers up for sale. He even said he would cut them out with a plasma cutter. Thats shady as well. Here is that ad..

That guy needs locking up - blatant fraud...

*** I am selling the vins for you to put on your car for local car shows. I am not suggesting you illegally re-body a coronet as a super bee for resale value. People make clones everyday. At least the mopar guys at the car shows will be fooled. lol ****

I don't see a way to contact that site's owner to report that ad?
What the heck kind of site is that, anyways? Smells fishy....

I was just googling WM21 and the picture came up. I clicked the picture link and it brought up that ad.
