i like to fart in my work car it has window locks lol

I see cloning as simply turning a car into something you want it to be and nothing more.

The definition of 'clone' has certainly changed as well as the term 'misrepresent.'

A clone is an exact replica of the original.

Swapping and upgrading engines was always cool.

Adding stripes and badging to a car to make it appear to be something that it is not never was.

A 440-6bbl Satellite is just as fast as a 440-6bbl Road Runner.

I'm not a fan of cloning be proud of what you have don't pretend to be something else, its still the same car. That's just my opinion I am currently uncloning my sport satellite. When you go to a cruise or a show how many of the base 440's do you see compared to Bees and R/Ts.

I have a 68 satellite sport cloned to a gtx cause I liked the look better. Hasn't been a #'s or original car for years and wasn't going to try to put it back. I call it a gtx, but it still has the ss emblem on the dash above glove box. You're not gonna fool a real mopar enthusiast, and I'm not trying. I could never do a real nice #'s car for two reasons, first I couldn't afford it, second I have a problem with my right foot, it weighs a lot more than my left. I might put the superbird plymouth script on hte quarters just cause I love the look. It's yours do what you want. :)

As a sport satellite owner myself what is the look you liked better? Other than the hood and emblems cosmetically isn't it the same package? One thing I like about not having a RR or GTX is that I don't feel guilty straying from original.

good point ctmopar
gives me something to think about
same body as a bee or r/t
maybe i will drop in a 440 and keep it a 440
that makes scence to me lol
i have a long ways to go befor i get to that point but might start picking
up parts here and there i would like to find a niced split bench with center counsle but i refuse to pay what they are getting for origanal stuff
i think i am just gonna make it how i want

I think Clint Eastwood was more coherent.

Well, here's how I see it. My cars are my cars. Not anybody else's. I'll do with them what I damn well please. If I want to pull them jokers down in my field and set fire to um, they're mine to do it.

Not many differences really. I like the look of the black slatted gtx grill as opposed to the flat aluminum strips and the trunk panel with the red strips. I have the lift off 6 pak hood with the 440. SS didn't come with 440. Imo every car needs some kind of stripe, so the gtx stripe fit the bill. The ss is just a little plain looking for me. The brighter, louder, more attention getting is what I like in a classic/muscle car. Hence the thought of the black plymouth script on the quarters, hell I even think about a WING because I think the winged cars are the most bad *** car ever made. :headbang: I don't do original unless it was a winged car. It's mine I do whatever I want, I got it to make ME happy.

Exactly! Lets keep our mopars the focus of happiness and not profit. Everyone's concerned with the values of their cars. Just enjoy them. If they survived 40+ years of abuse and neglect, and someone is willing to spend money to bring them back to operation status. Then be happy with their choices! Oem restoration is cool, but not always in someone's plan.

I like the bitsa idea. My 66 coronet doesnt have an identity crisis. Theres nothing to clone it to.Cept maybe a hemi car. But I did take libertys like a stroked 440 and a single tail stripe and an r/t 150 speedo. Its a bitsa car. Bits of what I like. That being said I would keep it a 440 and add what you like.

i like the bitsa
my origanal plan when i bought the car was to do a clone of somekind
i wanted a rally dash orignal seat with center counsel
but what ppl get for center counsel's seat and dashes are frickin nut's
i wanted to do a sleeper kinda car but i cant afford that
so bitsa edition it is lol

well it may be someone elses decision
i have put her up for sale not cause i want to but i need to
got a lil in over my head with bills
i hate to do it but on the brite side the wife said
within a yr or 2 we should be able to buy another one
just gotta pay off a few bills check for sale section for the ad
sorry guys i am very thankfull for the advice and will be a daily visator on this site i am still gonna build a motor for a furture B body car
this way i can go bigger lol

i am trying to decide if i should clone my 68 coronet
into a super bee or rt
it is a 440 was a 318 car but now has a 383
i am not worryied about value i just cant decide to leave it a 440 or super bee it or RT
i have always liked the super bee's but what would ba an easy clone?

bottom line is that the only thing that doesnt make it a r/t or superbee is the
vin, they are the same car

ok clone wars r back on
me and the wife sat down this mor and i might sell a few other things but
we r gonna keep the car
i just dont wanna regret selling it one day and it is gonna be a fun famly project
sorry about my scare guys but the darn mopar blood is in my vains now
i am fu#ked now ya can my woman take the dog take the house but ya aint taking the mopar lol
