Just seen the damage from the tornado that went through the Moore Oklahoma area today....My god, simply unbelievable. Looks worse than a war zone. Prayers out to the 51 Dead (as of now) and their families & friends. God speed.

God bless you Oklahomans and all the families of victims. YOU ARE in our thoughts and prayers.

Unbelievably powerful twister with terrible loss of life and damage. I'm sure that everyone on the board sends their thoughts and prayers to the good people of Moore Oklahoma.

I was in Wichita Falls Tx. during tornado season almost 40 years ago. A good sized twister went through Sheppard AFB where I was stationed. Tore the place up pretty good. Luckily we didn't lose anybody. Haven't been back since. You can have it. God help the people that are in the path of these killers.

Damn Smitty that twister took out like a third of the town and the base hospital. I got there a few years later, 1984. Was stationed there for 8 years. I was a regular at the junk yards out on Lower Charlie road out behind the base. I bought a bunch of parts from those guys and one old dude over in Burkburnett, TX .. He had a late 70's truck with a 440-6 complete engine and carb setup, including the breather out of a 70 Challenger and was running the factory A/C. Just bent the breather a tad for clearance.

Also, been to Altus and Enid a few others hunting cards during those days. I found a lot of cool old not very rusty Mopars while stationed there. I took college classes up at Lawton / Ft Sill.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Oklahoma people.God Bless

Again with more storms & tornados, hitting the heartland, stay safe, you have my deepest well wishes, heartfelt condolences for all your losses....

On my first trip out there, I was riding in the shuttle bus from Will Rogers when the bus driver starts mumbling about a "wall cloud" and driving down 35 like a maniac. 20 minutes later I got to see my first tornado. It's a helluva thing.

God bless all those who are dealing this, you are in our prayers.

My brother and sister-in-law rode it out in the hallway of their single story house across the street from the Plaza Towers Elementary School that has been on TV a lot. They survived but everything they owned is gone. Here's a couple of photos from my phone I took while looking for a few friends houses. My house (and MOPAR) are OK since I'm about 1 mile north of the tornado's path. Keep us in your prayers; tornado season is just starting.

Thanks, Roger

Note the MOPAR in the last photo is an Oklahoma County Sheriff's car.

Oh my god. The devastation is terrible. Glad you and yours are ok, themechanic. All my sympathy goes out to those that were in this storms path.

That being said, I'll take earthquakes over tornadoes every time. I've been through one major quake in '89, the one that collapsed a double decker freeway. Scared out of my mind. But those tornadoes- I couldn't live in a place where those show up every year.

Good to hear that you and your family are ok Roger. Thanks for posting the pictures. God bless.

We had an earthquake that registered 2.9 in Choctaw the same day.

Are You A Looky-Loo? Take This Short Quiz:

Moore Liquor Store Sign.jpg

This from Moore Liquor Who Posted This Outside Their Store:

If you've ever wondered whether or not you are a piece-of crap, here's a short quiz to help you determine it:

1) Did you drive into Moore just to see the destruction (while people who lost their homes and the many people who were trying to help were trying to use the same streets you were clogging up)?
2) Did you find someone else's valuable blown from their leveled home and keep it for yourself?
3) Did you suddenly show up in town just to make money by "helping" people to rebuild?

If you answered 'yes' to any of the questions above, please go away...and never come back.
