Torsion bar moving

I just installed my torsion bars. But somthing is off. The passanger side is stiff and has no movement. But the driver side has about 1/2 forward- back lateral movement.when it’s all the way forward looks to be in as much as the other side. But on the body side it’s in further then the passenger side is. Once you push it back towards the body it stops at the clip. But I’m not confident in the amount of bar left in the lower control arm… is there something I’m just not seeing ?
 
If you feel that the pass side is right I would pull the driver side out and reinstall it. It cant hurt.
 
Push the bar in all the forward, once there's some tension (torsion) on the bar it won't want to move backwards.
The clip is there as a precaution but you can see from the flimsy size of the clip it's not designed to be under any real pressure.
Mine are both forward with about 1/4" space to the clip.

Isn't there a passenger side bar specific to that side as well as a drivers side bar?
 
There is a right and left bar, marked R and L. As stated above, the bars need to be installed all the way forward. They keep the lower control arm in place.
 
I tried to "clock" a t-bar wrong. Couldn't do it. The white marks in this pic will line up being in the correct location. It's one flat too high in this picture. Two flats lower the ear would be clear down into the control arm.

That’s my take too. Mis- clocking the torsion bars is almost an urban myth. Theres 30 degrees difference between the flats. It’s impossible to mis-clocking them (front way too high) because the a-arm can’t rotate that far down. If you raise the a-arm way up and insert the bar 30 degrees off (front too low) you will never get the suspension off of the upper bumper before running out of bolt adjustment.
 
Unless I'm going senile I thought the original question had something to do with the one T-bar being adjusted in way more than the other? There were a couple of replies to the fact about "clocking" of the T-bars, that's why I posted what I did.

So @Charger68ftb what was the outcome about this?

To reply about this question, unless one t-bar is shorter than the other I'd be measuring the K-frame front to back to see if there's a difference. Maybe the cross member was replaced at one time or its damaged from a previous accident?
