Tpodwdog banned?

i dont know what happened.....again.... i always seem to miss the fireworks lol. we all have our moments and it can be difficult at times to read into someones post or quotes when there is nothing but text. hell , for all we know every word that was taken seriously could have had laughter behind it. thats why i follow up my joking replies and responses with an lol or lmao , just so there is no mistake that im kidding. it may seem childish but thats one way to be clear. this is the internet, things are taken out of context and misunderstood repeatedly. its not like we can actually hear the tone unless its in caps , and that isnt necessarily yelling, it could be that someone is just loud and abnoxious in real life LOL i take it all with a grain of salt. after all , we are 100's of miles away from each other and chances are good that if a few of the people that come across like real ******** on the net were to meet up in person, it would be one big happy *** beer drinkin mopar bullshitfest...
 
I gave 10 years of my life to the protection of everyone's right to speak, and while I didn't get my *** killed or wounded while in uniform, I did have to sacrifice a lot of other things as anyone who's served in the military well knows. So I am against the idea of banning anyone for what they say. No one forces anyone to read someone's posts, or respond to those posts, so there's really no legitimate reason to limit speech. That's my one peave with all internet forums these days.
 
i am pretty fluent in four letter words in real life and sometimes it spills over in my posts, but that doesnt mean the words are being used in derogatory manner, it just means im being real. i realize this is a family oriented site, but i highly doubt every single page and post is being read by a 10 year old. i dont think ive ever dropped the f bomb, although i have typed it .... unless someone is being directly attacked or a mod is being directly insulted , i see no reason to ban people , its just as easy to delete their posts.
 
Ya know, I'm all about free speech too but to a point. I have no idea what Tpodwdog said but you have to think about where you are. We're in someone's back yard here and we need to be at least somewhat civilized about what we do and say. If it was my back yard, you ain't going to just drop your draws and take a dump in it and if you do, I'm going to kick your dumb *** out, plain and simple. Actions and words go hand and hand and how you say what you're free to say is important. The owner of this site put rules into place and if you don't like them, go start up your own web site and for rule number 1, you can put 'there are no rules' and have all the free speech that you want. Anyone is welcome to come into my shop but if you start dropping the F bomb every other word, I'm going to ask you to refrain and then if you tell me to F off and that you have freedom of speech, I'm going to tell you that it's my property and you DON'T have freedom to say whatever you want but you do have the freedom to go spew somewhere else. I also served this country in the military and also have the right to not hear what I don't want to hear and not hear someone telling me to F off while standing in my backyard. :D

You all have to remember its not one offense that gets you banned , You accumulate points so its not like you dont know what going to happen . Also a good word of advise , its not a good idea to berate the mod that gives you the infraction . Then when the owner of the place tells you not to berate his staff , I think i would listen to him . :) everyone have a great day and lets have fun talking Mopar and forget all the drama .

I am sharing this with you all because it might help a little. I received this back on the 8th of Jan. Surprised me quite a bit but figured he stepped in it again. Some here know that a while back, we had a slight roue between each other and I called him out. I got "Spanked" with some demerits and put on probation for a bit. After things had calmed down, I reached back out to Dawg and manned up to my verbal assault of him. He reciprocated in kind and things moved on. Now I don't know what transpired between the Mods and himself nor do I care to know because it really isn't any of my business. The fact that the site had to come down hard means a "MAJOR" and I do mean "MAJOR" infraction had occurred. It is what it is. He and I were able to move past it and I hope that Dave will eventually be back after his banishment. Hopefully it isn't permanent but FBBO is far greater than than just one or two individuals discretion's. We all in life have to "play by the rules" and that is what we all did when we became members here initially. Hopefully time will heal these transgressions vs banishment and we can get back to talking about cars, cars, cars...Tuck
 
Wow I didn't realize it was such a heated topic. Just wondered when he was coming back. Look what I started lol
