Looking for a set of Vintage Traction Masters traction bars for an early (1962) B Body. They would be similar to the photos attached. Just a bolt on bracket!

Thank you much!

Jeff

I think I may have a set. Have not seen them in a while so will have to look for them. Supposed to warm up next week. Will look then.

Thank you much! Appreciate you reaching out. Here's my project car. If you look close you can see the single sided front bracket on the Traction Bar. Good luck with the search! Jeff

Looks like traction master Co. is still in business, and are available from summit and speedway.
Thank you. It would seem that way but I have been calling them and emailing for over a year with no reply. Also, Yelp says they are temporarily closed? ANy further info appreciated.

Thanks again.

I exchanged emails with a helpful guy named Chuck at Traction Masters in November of 2022, using the email address of [email protected] .
Is that the address you tried?

Also, do you happen to know what model number fits your 62 or if it is the same for a 68?

Fesser,

That was indeed the email used. No reply as of yet. Not sure of the model number that fit the 62 models, that was what I was hoping to get out of Traction Masters. I do know the bars themselves were 20" on center of the bushings. I have the bars still but nothing else. No bushings or brackets. The pictures below could possibly be them or very similar. But not 100% sure. Thank you much for the reply!

So, I just went out and grabbed some crappy pictures of what was on my 68 Coronet R/T when I got it. The brackets in your pictures are what were on my car, even down to the cast "3022". My bars however are 24" center to center (and slightly bent from a p.o. running over who knows what). Also, the forward brackets on mine are welded to the spring hanger.

This was Chuck's 2022 response to my first inquiry as to what was on my car and if it was installed correctly (I sent him pictures).

"Frank,

That is our part number TM 3064.

Looks complete and original. The stacked washers are correct,
they are to center the bar under the leafs.

My guess is the bars were installed shortly after the car was purchased or
even installed by the dealer.

Chuck
Traction Master Co."

Here are my current, rainy day pictures...

My original plan was to run these on the 68 for nostalgia reasons. I even bought a TM decal for the rear quarter glass. I have been told they really don't add much for performance that the pinion snubber doesn't already provide. I am currently leaning toward CalTracs, partly because my rear springs are shot anyway, and partly because I live just up the highway from Sears Point Raceway and I might want to get back into the Wednesday Night bracket races. I am sure it will be overkill, but now would be the time to do it since there is no suspension in the car currently.

Fesser,

Thank you so much for the info and the great picures! Really appreciate you doing that. PM sent.
