Who here has used the rear servo port for an aftermarket tranny temp gauge for small block 727? I am installing one and trying to decide on the pan or the rear servo port. Also, does rear servo port measure fluid temp at all times or only in certain gears? Thanks.

I used the out trans oil line going to the radiator. If I remember correctly trans oil flows out of the converter and to the radiator. So you should get the most accurate oil temp coming right out of the converter.

I believe rear servo is used only in first and reverse gear.
