are the transmission fill tubes for the 62-65 small block transmissions different then other years or are they somewhat interchangeable? thanks

The biggest thing is are they bent right for proper fitment? Then you also need the correct dipstick for the tube. Myself I would try to find the correct tube and stick.

I don't think they are different.... This is the one i used in my '62 which has the original trans with a LA 318...

I think they are the only ones that bolt down into the trans case.

Up till and including 1968 had the tube with the tab to bolt to the trans case. Kim

If you have the correct dipstick to match the tube it will read correctly. You can use a newer tube and stick that bolts to the bell housing bolt as long as it fits the chassis.
