So I'm on the hunt for a trans mount for my '64 Polara. It has the 318/727 combo in it. So far I've looked at all the local auto parts store and major retailer online, and all I can find are mounts that are different than mine and look to be for '66 and up cars.

Schumacher lists their mount as being out of stock, as does year one and manicini. If I remember right, I think I saw the same mount listed from Classic Industries and it was out of stock too.

Seems like the only place on God's green earth to get the mount is from Imperial, and they want $120 (including shipping) for it.

Question is, does anyone know where to get one for less than that? That's an absurd price for a piece of rubber infused metal. Can I send my current mount somewhere to be rehabbed?

Still trying to fix my vibrating car. I've replaced literally every component underneath the car except for the trans mount, so I figure it's time to change it out too.

I've done everything under the car pertaining to this vibration over the course of the last year and a half. I have a thread in this forum called (Bad Vibrations) from last year, and one in the general tech area called (Bad Vibrations Part 2) from this year.

I'll look into the link you posted. Thanks!

This is the guy to deal with on '62 - '65 parts. Unfortunately you have to pay the price for that mount. Nine times out of ten, when you find a new one, its made by Imperial Services, no matter who you buy it from.

I tried to get one from Imperial for mine and it took forever. Luckily I used PayPal and had to contact them to get my money back. Most haven't got their money back dealing with him. I used Classic Industries to get one but they had to wait for him to make more because thats where everyone gets them from.

Call Joe, great guy and he really knows his stuff. Also a member on here.

May not be helpful but, even in 1974 a trans mount to fit my '65 Coronet was a problem. I modified the mount holes to make it work. I doubt the vibration would come from the mount. Driveshaft seems most likely. MHO

I bit the bullet and got an Imperial mount and it seems to have cured MAX's driveline vibration.

I repeat, vibration doesn't come from the mount. A good mount can hide the vibration, not cure the source.

Not saying that you would want to but this is what I did on a 64

Cut the cross member out and made a bracket for a later mount.Just keep a eye on your tail shaft angle.

I would think that a soft (oil soaked) or a broken mount wouldn't be ridged enough to hold the tailshaft still. Many on here have had a vibration from a soft or broken mount, replaced it and the vibration was gone.

Currently on ebay listed as:
1962 63 64 65 Plymouth Dodge B Body Transmission MOUNT 8 Or 6 Cylinder NOS MoPar Price $295 +$10 shipping

$300 for a transmission mount is easily the worst price I've seen yet. Thinking of contacting Joe Suchy to see if he has a lead on one. Imperial's site is down so I can't order from them directly either. Schumacher and Mancini both show it on backorder.

At this point I don't want to spend the coin on a mount, but we are out of parts left to replace under this thing besides power train components.

Currently this wonderful vibration is isolated to right under the front seat. It eminates from the trans tunnel region between the front seat and the firewall. There is no vibration felt in the rear floorboard or rear trans tunnel.

I got one recently from my local NAPA around $30.00 it was for the auto trans.

I was able to order a mount from Joe Suchy. Cost $110 to my door. My old mount is trashed. Seemed solid when cold but once it got warm from driving the rubber turns into playdough.

hi this is a new piece from imperial services I paid 88$ make an offer plus shipping thanks

Thanks but I have already ordered one. It will hopefully be here by the end of the week.

For anyone that may need one of these mounts, get soon. According to Joe they are no longer being made. I spoke with a few other vendors as well about their availability and no one seems to know when they will be getting another shipment of them. The only two places I'm aware of that still have them is Joe Suchy and moparts.com. Joe sells them individually, moparts will only sell them with motor mounts as a set.
