I just bought a 67 Belvedere conv and the passenger door has a different trim moulding. The driver door has one on the top and the passenger door has one on the mid section. I know the driver door is right, but is this a higher trim level? If so has anyone had any issues getting these pieces? I am going to need both front fenders and the passenger door.

My brother in law just bought a relatively unmolested 66 Satelite (RP VIN). It has aluminum trim on top of the doors like a Charger, and on the rocker.

Included in the sale were doors and fenders from a Belvedere II (RH VIN IIRC), they have trim in the center (and around the fuel cap) like my Coronet 440.

May not apply to '67, though. My '67 Coronet 440 had trim on the lower body line that held leaves and was a pain to get cleaned out. Caused major rust.

Actually the mouldings on my door are on the side of the door at the top. I'm not at home to get a picture right now. I've got a 67 Charger and it has peak mouldings which are on the top of the door, but the Belvedere I've got is different. I believe it has a painted stripe in the center of it also.

my 67 bel -2 had the top of door trim with a red stripe on the moulding

Does anyone know if they are available new?

The 67 Belvedere II convertible would have been available with only one style of side trim choice. Along the upper body side, was a full length molding with a red pin stripe that runs the length of the car. The 67 Belvedere II convertible would have also had wheel lip moldings. An extra cost option on the Belvedere II convertible in 67 was the rocker molding that was standard on the Belvedere I and the GTX that year. There was a Spring Special for 2 door hardtop and 4 door sedan Belvedere IIs which eliminated the upper body side molding in favor of a body length dual pin stripe, and the rocker molding was added as part of the trim package. I don't believe the convertible was ever offered with the Spring Special package trim.
The doors on any 2 door hardtop B-body Dodge or Plymouth would be interchangeable, The body side trim, "in the middle" as you describe it could mean the door came from a 66 Belvedere II or 66 Coronet 440 hardtop or convertible.
A 66 Satellite would have had the trim at the top edge of the door like a 66 Charger, a 67 Satellite would have the side trim way down low near the very bottom of the door, and a 67 Coronet 440 or 500 door would have the body side molding along the lower body side crease. A 66 Coronet 500, 67 Coronet RT and the 67 GTX doors would have no side molding on them at all. The same would be true of a door from a 67 Belvedere II with with the Spring Special trim.
The door trim piece you need is specific to the 67 Belvedere II convertible and 2 door hardtop, and is probably specific to the passenger side only.
Good luck finding the piece. My guess is that RT Specialties likely has the correct mounting clips you'll need.
My first car was a 67 Belvedere II convertible. I always regretted letting that one go.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like you know what your'e talking about.

Yup, sounds like Jim knows about these cars pretty well. My plan with that was was to remove the side trim and pin stripe it. I had found a front end for it in Austin but I think the guy realized he was selling it too cheap because he gave me plenty of excuses why he couldn't get with me whenever I called. Here's a pic of the car....
