Those of you that have 1 Ton pickups/duallies, if you have the OEM size tires, what tire pressures do you maintain... the ones listed on the sidewalls or the ones in the owners manual/ door tag?
What if one has a size different from OEM?
I have LT235/85rx16 which say max 80psi on the sidewall, while the door tag says 55psi for the OEM LT225/75rx16d tires.
Am wondering if I should still go with 55psi?
A lot depends on the load you're carrying. I run my 2003 Dodge 2500 at 60# front, and 50# rear, as it's empty most of the time. The original Michelins will make 100K miles before replacement.
Chalk the tire and see where it leaves first if center lower pressure if outside edges raise the pressure
or weight each axle and go to the mfg's site for pressure recommendation then go 5 psi over
more is better than less for safety
