My trunk lid placement was all wonky when I got the car. It’s almost like the channel is too narrow for the arm. I was able to level the lid because it is free to move on the bolts most forward on both sides. The rear bolt area on the pass side is free. The rear drivers side is completely stuck. Big time.

Car is nice, so not sure what to do. I removed the bolt and pecked with a screwdriver and a hammer. I knocked the area a little with a rubber mallet. I tried to move the lid side to side with my hands with all the bolts loose, didn’t care to get too rough since might bend the lid. ????

I’m not sure about getting penetrating oil in there without just making a huge mess. I think the shop must’ve given up on this deal and sent it out the way they did.

It needs to shove forward another 1/8 or so to really be in line.

Sounds like it pinned/stuck/lambed I would use PB Blaster soak it and hope it breaks free

Did someone put a tack weld on it maybe

There isn’t anything like that. With the bolt out I’d see it in that area. I tried a screwdriver prying the area and didn’t hit anything. I’d be surprised anybody would want to lock it down like that given how jacked up it was. I’m talking not level. It was good side to side somehow.
