I'm looking at getting a set of TTi headers for my 68' charger but would like to see if I could get some feedback to see if anyone has had issue at all. I'm looking at the Nickel Chrome Plated option for the headers but want to see if anyone had ever had peeling issues or any other problems. Is it worth the additional money? Granted its not a lot additional but I just don't want the headaches. Thanks again for any help

Got the ceramic/polished. 100 degrees cooler under hood temps compared to other cars. 10 years, normal wear. Would get them again. They have been smashed on high speed compressions etc, don't know why or how they survived this long. $1000 to the door - not cheap. Buy from a vendor or FBBO advertiser not direct from TTI.

Chicago Connection was the cheapest I found for TTi stuff. I ended up going with the C5 polished ceramic.

I put TTi on a 426 Hemi in a 67' GTX.Middle of the summer, very hot. The car had been Idling for 20 minutes. I had to adjust the Transmission linkage, and knew it would be hot down there. Shocked to find I accidently touched the collector, but radically reduced heat. As hunt2elk said, 100 degrees if not more. Ceramic coated, I will buy another set once I get rid of my Hooker competitions.

I have them on my 66 hemi 4 speed satillite they are amazing I would highly recomend biggest problem I had and a bit of a nightmare had to pull the trans to replace the mini starter

I am going with the tti for sure but I think I'm going the safe route and getting the bare headers just in case. I don't want to risk making to " make them fit " and damage the coating

Mine fit perfectly, no need to beat on anything. but I errored in ordering the larger of the two available for the Hemi. With power steering it was a PITA. Paper thin clearance. I did this in 2004 or so, so the memory banks are clouding up. I remember using a short dart starter, never used a mini starter.

A small ding el do ya for the idler arm (mine-psgr side) would not prevent me from getting the ceramic coated. You can see it if the car is on a lift, but it has not compromised wear or perfomance that is detectable. The heat reduction in extended summer idling is priceless.

I'm putting on the Alterkation front end so my clearances will be better than the stock k member. Maybe I will make sure they fit and I have everything perfect and get them coated locally. After all the work I've done on the car so far and seeing how all the " year specific " stuff seems to fit I think I want to play this one safe. After hearing all the good word on ceramic coating in general it seems like that way to go though for sure.

nice fit..426 Hemi in a 67'R/T, or RB "63
