This thread answered a lot of questions for me. Even if I keep my exhaust manifolds for a future break-in, the ceramic is just going to come off in a year or so anyway.
Too bad TTI does not make them in 304 Stainless with ceramic/thermal coating, that would be awesome. Stainlessheaders.com is about $2500 iirc, but those are custom built after you send them a mockup.
I absolutely do not trust those eBay deals of sub-$300 long tube stainless small block headers.
Looks like something to just save longer for.
