Tubbed or Mini-Tubbed

I really like the look of a Prostreet car and I love the Mini-Tubbed look...

Also ladder bar setup. Or 4link..

What has everyone else done and why and what would you have done different.

I've done both The factory style tubs provide stiffness for the 1/4 panel. For the street I'd mini tub. I wouldn't run ladder bars much on the street either. The rear end can't roll rotate around corners. Pure drag race aftermarket tubs are larger, lighter. Ladder bars are lighter and cheaper than Cal Tracks. Mini tubs are easier to install.

I like my wheel tubs. I love the old school "pro street" look and all that meat under the car helps it hook.

Big FATTIES under most classic muscle cars looks good, but under a B-Body Mopar, big FATTIES look GREAT!

See I like that big fat tub look under b Bodies 2 that pro Street look it looks awesome don't get me wrong I'm not taking a car that is a numbers matching you know rare car and chopping it up this is just old 318 car but now has a big block so and it was something that was worth value I probably wouldn't do it but since it's not man I want the biggest fattest tires under it I have a good friend that does it all the time for drag racers and Street people I'm going to have them do mine over the winter this year but I do start the project I'll keep everybody posted with pictures updates
 
Mine is minitubbed to the frame rails. Have had N50 tire on it and it fit well. I replaced my quarters and now actually have a wheel well lip that makes clearance an issue. Sent my housing to Cranky to shorten the rear 2 3/4" ....should be no problem when I get it back.

I like the minitub route. Like malex said it helps keep some of the structure in the back half of your car. And also you can keep the stock look in the trunk if you want. Also depends on the car how much wheelwell you need. A 66 Cornet needs more help than a 69RR.

These are on my 69 GTX. One thing I didn't think about was the vent lines for the gas tank, you'll have to rebend or make new one to keep the oem look.

I’m watching because I have no experience with this topic, but think mini-tubbing May be in the future for LW. I sure like what I see in the two posts above!
 
I currently have 325/50/15s on 15x10 wheels in there with room to spare.

Yeah, well...I was all set in my mind for a year to go with a RMS StreetLynx or Gerst triangulated rear suspension until @vintage chromoly and some others chastised me so much about the responsibilities of being a real V-code owner that I was coerced into doing Calvert split mono leaf springs and Assassin traction bars....

Well after I’m done I will for sure be banished from the brotherhood LOL
 
I still love the tubbed look on any car and have done both also. I will probably tub another one someday. Currently, just have a mini-tub in my Challenger. I can fit 315/60/15 Drag Radials or a 29.5X10.5W in with more room to spare.
