Two piece timing covers

I was wavering between ordering an AR Engineering and remembered this piece. I liked the fact that it has an o-ring unlike some of the cheaper versions that I’ve heard nothing good about. Have any of you used this piece by chance? Thoughts?

Have not used it. It looks like a fat-daddy. What about water pump clearance and ease of setting cam thrust on a roller cam?

I have used a few of the AREngineering ones with great success.

The AR Eng piece is the best I’ve used in regard to those two features. I went ahead and ordered one of these to try. I’m using a motor plate so should have no issues with water pump housing clearance. As for cam thrust setting, I’ll probably have my cnc guy machine it for a removable center plate like Andy’s covers have.

I think you'll like it. It's a very well made piece. It's pretty easy to set the cam button depth on. I did have to clearance my water pump a little. Oddly enough I also had to clearance the TDC pointer a smidge. I am using one of the original Fluidampers so that may be part of it.

Glad to hear it’s a good piece. I’m using an ATI damper, AR Engineering reluctor and billet sensor mount which will probably have to be modified to work with this cover. I’ll make it all work.
