Uh-oh

Saw this spectacle the other day making an inspection. The operator claims the machines went haywire and ended up not responding to input into the computor controls due to operation in the salt water. When I took the pics they were working on establishing a road to get a wrecker in and try to winch the equipment out. I will go by tomorrow and see how they made out.

One week later

Stopped by the scene the other day and it wasn't pretty. The contractor was making some progress but it is slow going. They have gotten the smaller machine out but the one that was about 100 yards out is still a problem. They have 2 machines working with a small quarry type dump truck w/winch hooked up to cables and are pulling it in slowly. They were able to get the arm of the machine out from the tucked position so it is no longer sticking in the bottom, but progress is very slow. Turns out an employee was let go 2 days before the machines were found in the bay.
