Unbelievable: Sold car now he want's his money back

There has to be more to the story that you aren't telling us?

Sounds like the buyer is a flipper and his deal went south. Find out more about him. If he is just drop it on him and be done with it.

Hershey eh?
Well now it makes sense.
He is going to try to flip the car there and if he can't he knows he has an out. I suspect he has done this before.

I don't know your(well not yours anymore) car well enough but if there is anything unique, rare, or hard to find on it make a list and make sure you check all of it if/when it comes back.

I mean who knows maybe he is legit. But it really is a different world out there now then it was even 10 years ago. Make sure you aren't enriching the life of a scam artist.

EDIT: oh and if he comes back and says he sold it at hershey you MUST figure out how to make sure you are not on the title anymore.

Steve, the only thing you need from this guy is to make sure that title is signed off and no longer in your name.

You don't need or want the car back....there's no telling what has happened since he has had possession.
This entire saga is just dragging you down and stopping you from moving on with something else more worthwhile.

A vendor of what? Hot dogs, fluffy things, or those stupid miniature dolls people lean against their cars?

Once it was on the trailer and left the driveway it is his. Think you are being too nice of a guy to let him bring it back. Like you stated they looked it over for over an hour. Something is at myth here not right. No returns are most people's policy. You bought it know it is yours. Just my thought on the matter.

Well who's going to Hershey? Can someone see if the car is there? This could turn into something fun. It's not one against one it's one against US! If he's watching this site he would be cornered now.

I'm not stating fact as I don't know it... but taking it back admits to his only real complaint that this was a 4 door turned into a 2 door. No????

Why on earth are you entertaining this.....????

Dear sir,
You're obviously a nice guy. Other people aren't.
You've given your word on taking it back. Other people's words mean nothing.
You wouldn't take advantage of someone. Other people take advantage of nice people all the time.
EVERYONE on here has given you the right advice, but your still "doing the right thing" for the other guy.

Use a third party as some have suggested. Ring this guy up, TODAY, RIGHT NOW, and tell him the deal is off. Your wife, lawyer, brother, son, whoever has told you NO WAY. Maybe your "son" becomes a 6'3 marine that's just come home and has found out about this. Make up whatever story you have to.
Please don't take the car back.

Love from everyone on B Bodies.

Imagine, this guy just might be a forum member? Lol. Well, to repeat the obvious, he could have said squat and simply just sold the car on his own. Posted earlier, bought a ride that I soon regretted, finding a sweet deal on another after I bought it. NO way I had the cash to buy it having dropped my available money on the one I bought, friggin sweet as it was and NO way I thought asking the seller to take it back would be a sane thing to do. Don’t like to think about it as the one I missed is typically in the six-figure range today. Grrr..

Never know with nice rides like this one, could find a buyer wanting to pay what it was purchased for, or maybe more. A lot about the timing when one or two are there seriously wanting that particular car.

I will be there.. But ANYONE who has gone to that show knows you can walk for the WHOLE day and not see it all. It's massive.

I know but I believe I also saw a few cars for sale in the swap quite a few times while walking... So it might not be in that "section"..
And based on what we’ve seen so far, it wouldn’t be surprising if this dude just stashed the car in the vendor spot he already had.
