Universal Joint Selection

Good Morning,
Looking to install new U-Joint in a 68 B body with a 440. Prefer to install a solid joint with no grase fitting made is usa if possible. Any recommendations for a good part and part source? Thanks

Spicer 5-794 or 5-789 depending which series joint the car has, if it is even still using detroit series.

Any of the stores listed above all carry china junk, same for lakewood


See your local driveline shop and even then make sure you tell them to leave the china on the shelf, or your local large truck shop are mostly dana/spicer distributors

Thanks supershifts, That is one of the reasons I started this post, I'm not interested in china parts. My 68 has the larger stock u-joints in the car, not sure about the application 791 or 789. I did look at Lakewood and almost bought them as USA was cast into the u-joint. Is it possible that the part is cast in china and assembled in usa to carry the usa markings?? Any thoughts> thanks PTC
