For you guys that have added this piece to your cars, wondering your thoughts on if it is a worthwhile upgrade? I am going to be redoing my Road Runner this winter. Replacing my home made frame connectors with US Cartools as well as adding torque boxes.

:popcorn2:
Are you doing the whole she-bang, yanking out the seats and carpets and all that?
You're getting the connectors that are contoured to the floors?

I welded the radiator support brace on my 65 and it really does stiffen up that area. Worth while in my opinion.

I added the entire US Car Tool strengthening kit to my car. This included torque boxes, frame rails to tie front and rear frame areas together, under fender support pieces, and the lower radiator support.

If I had it to do over again, I would do it in a heartbeat. My car drives like a dream. It is very solid and handles really nicely for a 50 year old car. It is, of course, hard to separate out what the US Car Tool pieces did vs. my Firm Feel box and a few other minor upgrades over stock, but mostly with new suspension wear items I think you'll be very happy with the way your car will handle.

My build thread has more details and I can provide that link if you are interested.

Good luck,

Hawk

Yes on the whole she-bang. Will be going on a rotisserie so I can blast, epoxy, and paint the bottom. Already started modifying the connectors for the e-brake cable.

I also ordered the radiator core support, but I called and did not have the die cut holes added in it wanted a cleaner look

I am so jealous of you lift-owning fellas with mad fab skills. Good on ya, my friend!
Looking forward to following this. :)

I made one similar to the US Car Tool rad support and added a tow hook for out at the track just in case. It is now also my tie down while in the trailer.
