I have excess parts and would like some help in deciding which parts to keep and which to sell. First off are carb and intake combos:
Eddy Performer or Weiand 8009?

Holley 750 Vaccumn or 750 Mechanical 2ndary?

Engine is fresh but modest standard bore 440, Edelbrock Performer Cam, flat top pistols and 452 heads

A vacuum secondary carburetor is best for a street car. You spend far more time at idle and part throttle and at those points, a mechanical secondary/double pumper pushes too much fuel through the engine.
Regarding the intake, The Weiand has larger ports/passages if I remember right. It will perform better at mid range and high rpm. The Edelbrock Performer is only a slight improvement over a stock iron intake.

Will the Weiand work with a Ramcharger Setup?

Which one is it that doesn't fit under a stock hood, the Performer or the Performer RPM?

The RPM fits under the hood of my 70 Charger but I had to have the air cleaner base modified. Years later I heard of people using a FORD base plate.

The performer RPM is taller, I know it does not fit a 66 or 67 B body Plymouth

Does anybody know if the Weiand 8009 will work with a Ramcharger setup?

Do you have a stock manifold to compare heights with? If you add much of any height you will run the risk of damaging the box with the air cleaner base sitting higher.

I dont have a stick manifold.
I thought Ramchargers air setups with a 440 needed a specific manifold from the factory to work, but there was a certain type of Weiand aftermarket that would also work

The ramcharger setup used a different base on the 440 than the 383 (different height motor). I dont think there is much difference in height from the various factory 440 intakes. If you want one i probably have a few you could choose from. Price would be right too....free.

I need to get a base for the setup yet.
Appreciate the offer, maybe I'll take you up on it.

The vac secondary and the double pumper will provide almost identical mileage on the primaries.
So, at idle and light throttle, the double pumper will use no more fuel than the vacuum sec.
when you get into the secondaries, is when the double pumper (additional accelerator pump) will use a bit more fuel.

The engine dictates how much fuel is drawn through the boosters.
